Carl Weber is a best selling novelist publishing novels since 2000 and has built a solid fan base since with hundreds of fans on his professional Facebook page alone. An avid reader, Carl Weber started writing when he realised the growing importance African-American fiction to readers and publishers. However, he was conscious that his wasn’t an A star English student. Nonetheless, he gave it a go with an immediate positive response.
He used a mix of his own life experiences and added a bit of spice as inspiration for his novels, the first of which, Lookin’ For Luv, which was published in 2000. His third novel, Baby Momma Drama, was written from a woman’s perspective, providing Weber with a real challenge. However, his most recent and successful novels have been about beautiful and bodacious women all a size 14 (USA) and over belonging to a book club, the Big Girls Book Club, and the dramas which they get up to. At the moment Carl Weber is on tour promoting his latest book in the series, Big Girls Do Cry. The next book will be released in September 2010 called Torn Between Two Lovers. Carl Weber is also the founder of the publisher Urban Books and is owner of the Urban Knowledge chain of bookstores. Prior to becoming a novelist, Weber graduated from Virginia State University with an MBA in marketing. He now lives in New York with his family.

I’m considered a big female also;a size 14. I just slid into a size 12 jean but my curves left with the weight. So now I have to decide do I want the curves or slimness. Since no men are beating my door down at age 55 prehaps it shouldn’t matter. But, I do love me some Carl Weber book reading. I’m ready to write my couple of books.
