Being Big On The beach is something you should be proud of. Although it took me a long time to realise this. When I moved to paradise I felt too self conscious to go on the beach in a bikini or swimming costume. But it got to a point when I was missing out too much fun as every day was spent on the beach. I looked around me to see what other women looked like on the beach and had to conclude that no one cares what you look like! The key is to wear a good fitting bikini or suit and be confident.
There are women all over the world who are full-figured and who feel self-conscious on the sand next to skinny girls. But this is now being readdressed by Hedonism II in Jamaica who are targeting plus size men and women for the first ever Big On The Beach event on June the 12th to the 20th. It will be a week of fun where plus size men and women can strut their stuff in confidence on the beach with men and women who love them.
Organiser Todd Crawford of Voodoolove says “Plus-sized members felt uncomfortable” as has been evident at previous outings, however, there are a lot of single men interested in larger woman and vice versa, which is how the idea of the event Big On The Beach evolved. This week is all about the F’s, Fun, Food and Friends at the all inclusive resort which will include entertainment and water sports. “Leave your inhibitions at home, and come party with other like minded couples and singles who appreciate all life has to offer.”
