Emme, celebrated plus size supermodel and plus size icon, was born in New York in 1963. Emme attended Syracuse University where she was awarded with a full athletic scholarship and was invited to the US Olympic Team trials, as well as several US National Team trials. After graduation, she spent two years as reporter and morning anchor for the NBC affiliate KNAZ-TV. Emme married and has a daughter. In 2007 Emme was diagnosed with cancer and split from her husband.
