Ann Harvey and Alexon Group go under administration
Retailers are suffering difficult times at the moment which is no surprise considering we are in a recession. It is also sad news that the Alexon group which owns among other brands Ann Harvey [site: www.annharveyfashion.co.uk] has gone into administration. However, private equity firm Sun European quickly snapped up Alexon promising to save nearly 3000 jobs. Jane McNally, the chief executive of Alexon, whom Sun European intends to retain, said: “We are extremely pleased to have a new owner which gives our business the more appropriate capital structure that we have been seeking.”
