Marks and Spencer [site: www.marksandspencer.com] offer six different Marks and Spencer clothes ranges for women offering different styles for varying ages. The offer at size 22 across the range is on the whole quite good however the choice at size 28 is incredibly limited.
Whilst one cannot say that Marks and Spencer do not offer plus size clothes, they do, these Marks and Spencer clothes are not necessarily tailored to meet the needs of a curvier woman as say clothes from the New Look and La Redoute brands do.
Autograph offers sophistication and style. This range is suitable for women in their 30’s and older. Autograph offer three brands: Collections, Essentials, and Weekend, providing everything a woman needs. Their sizing goes up to a size 22 where there selection is good except for jeans where they only have four styles to choose from. Their tops actually go up to a size 24 where there are two styles to choose from.
The Autograph Weekend Scoop Neck Sleeveless Vest Top is a trendy casual top from the Barcelona Trend and is very flattering for the plus size figure with a scoop neck and a hanky hemline.
The Classic range is for women in their 60’s and over offering a style that is classic and timeless. The sizing goes up to a size 24 and they have a good selection at this size and size 20 and 22.
The Classic Collection Linen Blend V-Neck Embroidered Cornelli Dress is very pretty and ideal for summer with an embroidered cornelli neckline.
The Indigo collection is a casual range for women in their 20’s and up offering the latest trendy looks and goes up to a size 24 however their choices at size 22 and 24 are fairly sparse apart from the tops category which has a good selection and one top each at both sizes 24 and 28.
The Indigo Collection Pure Cotton Open Neck Collar Stud Shirt is available in a size 28 and is smart and stylish with stud detailing on the shoulders.
The Limited Collection is catwalk inspired and has some truly stunning outfits for women in their 20’s and up. Sizing goes up to a size 18 and has a good selection in all categories at this and all other sizes up to 18.
The Limited Collection Animal Print Drape Tunic Dress is very trendy offering a key look for this season.
Per Una is sophisticated and feminine, offering unique design in sizes that go up to a size 22 for women in their 30’s and older. They have a good choice at this size.
I love the Per Una Layered Contrast Panel Tribal Skirt and it is very trendy in a tribal print. The layered style offers a unique and eye catching look.
Portfolio is a stylish collection of coordinated pieces in beautiful designs for stylish women in their 30’s and older in sizes that go up to a size 24 where the choices are the same as in all the other sizes.
The Portfolio Panelled Abstract Print Skirt from Portfolio’s Sunshine Riviera trend will update your summer look with vibrant colours of blue and crisp white.
Sizes are easy to find on the Marks and Spencer clothes website. Users can search for brands and then define their search further by selecting more categories. In each category users can also search by size. The same is true if just the type of clothing is selected from the main woman’s page.
Whilst the choice for Marks and Spencer clothes upto a size 20 is good, larger sizes do not have the same choice where other stores do.

Great article. I had a look at Whatsmysize.com and did a search based on these sizes. Marks and Spencer have a lot of items in stock (about 63 pages worth of results). The clothes are updated regularly based on what you can buy from the website. If there is something you want and can’t find then just set up an email alert and as soon as your size comes into stock the site can email you. Hope this helps
