Summer is unfortunately coming to an end, but this doesn’t mean your winter wardrobe stays empty.
The Autumn/Winter collections have now hit most of the shops.
Dorothy Perkins Autumn/Winter collection has encompassed a wide variety of styles, from lady-like chic to glam punk.
There are various items for each style trend, of which I will go into more detail later.
Prices for the new collection are very reasonable, with dresses and shoes at around £40, and tops between £20-30.
The first trend is Electro Eighties. These look encompasses bold, bright colours, body con shapes, and volume pumped shoulders.
An item that ticks all those style boxes is this blue dress from Dorothy Perkins.
At £40 it won’t break the bank, and the bright, bold colour fits right in with the eighties trend, as does the fitted style and the volume shoulders.
The delicate detailing on the shoulders emphasises their volume, whilst also adding pretty glamour to a bold dress.
Another must for the Electro Eighties trend is this hot pink blazer.
The colour will serve to brighten and smarten any outfit, whether it be a pair of jeans or a party dress.
The loose fit is perfect, clinging to just the right amount of your body, and acts as a smoother to give you a soft, smooth outline.
It remains a steal at just £35.
The Lady Lux trend incorporates a lot of lace, jewels and satins.
This black lace and mustard coloured corset style dress is perfect for creating that rich, luxurious effect.
The lace adds girly glamour, whilst keeping it black adds a slightly gothic detailing.
The fitted corset style top half attracts attention to your bust.
The bottom half of the dress is puffball style, which bodes well for hiding wide hips and large thighs.
In this section there is also a gorgeous gold clutch, which will go with practically any outfit, especially with gold heels as well.
The third style trend suggested on the Dorothy Perkins site is the Glam Punk trend.
This is where you can let loose on the sparkle, studs and distressed leather.
This £120 leather jacket from Dorothy Perkins is a fantastic buy.
It will see you through many seasons, and the studded shoulders are bang on trend.
The heavy zips add to the punk theme.
This necklace is also a great buy, at only £15, with the layered metal creating a rock effect without being too harsh.
