Flirty Nigella inspires Ann Harvey style

Ann HarveyCurvy and flirtatious TV celebrity and writer Nigella Lawson is the new ‘muse’ for the  Ann Harvey collection.

Many critics, including The Guardian newspaper,  have identified Nigella Lawson as a woman “men love  because they want to be with her and women love her because they want to be her“.

Nigella Lawson herself is also described as voluptuous, but has never commented on her size or figure despite repeated media stories that she sets a bad example by snacking from her fridge as she cooks.

Her ‘look’ has been taken up by the Ann Harvey collection for larger women’s fashion to make customers look sultry, sexy and sophisticated.

The BBC has also described their star as  “stunningly beautiful, warm, honest, likable and amazingly normal” with a voluptuous body, ample height and lots of lush, brown hair.

Because lots of ordinary women empathise with Nigella Lawson and recognise the success of a large woman in TV – traditionally a thin women’s world – her image is a good fit with the Ann Harvey collection.

Nigella Lawson has a style that she has grown in to – both as a person and by size, but she doesn’t let her height or size interfere with the life she wants to lead, the clothes she wants to wear or the food she wants to eat.

Ann HarveyFor Ann Harvey customers, the lifestyle that Nigella Lawson stands for is more than likely the same as the one they aspire to have.

Ann Harvey brand director Jane Eskriett said: “We are channelling Nigella Lawson as our muse.”

Nigella  Lawson, born in  January 1960, is a food writer, journalist and broadcaster. her father is Nigel Lawson, Baron of Blaby, former Chancellor of the Exchequer, and her mother is Vanessa Salmon, whose family owned the J Lyons empire.

She has written numerous books about cooking and  presented several BBC TV series on the subject, even though she is not a trained chef.
