This Spring is all about floral styles and patterns that (hopefully) will reflect the good weather!
Floral patterns were all the rage the previous Summer, at it looks like the trend is set to stay for 2010′s Spring and Summer.
This style is extremely girly and can be mixed and matched with bold colours for a more “matched” look, or if you are really daring, with some different patterned items for a more fun and “wacky” style.
A great retailer for floral styles is New Look (site: newlook.co.uk).
From their New In Plus Size range, this elegant zip back top is particularly nice.
This top is £18.
It is available in sizes 18 to 26.
The pretty oriental floral style is perfect for a day out, be it lunch, shopping etc.
The elegant cut makes this is a very girly top.
It would look great with a pair of skinny jeans or a denim skirt and a nice pair of pumps.
For a slightly smarter occasion, add some black heels and leggings and you are good to go!
The top has a slightly longer back, which is great if you are wearing leggings and are conscious of your bum.
The pleated style does wonders for larger women, and although the top is not fitted it will give your body a great shape – without clinging too tightly to your frame.
Another nice top from the floral styles available from New Look (site: newlook.co.uk) is this floral hanky hem top.
This top isn’t as busy as the first one, and is better for those who aren’t quite used to and comfortable with wearing floral patterns.
If you are new to the look, then keep it low key and only wear with block-coloured items so as not to let the look get too messy.
This top is also £18.
The longer sides of the bottom of the top are fashionable at the moment, and look especially good when worn with leggings.
The top is currently sold out in a size 26, and looks set to be a popular buy, so if you like what you see grab it soon before you get disappointed!
Rose print is especially fashionable this Spring, as it gives an elegant and girly feel to any outfit.
Another great retailer for floral prints is Dorothy Perkins (dorothyperkins.com).
