The Kardashian sisters are well-known for their crazy, roller coaster family life that we all know and love on the US reality show, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”.
Keeping Up With the Kardashians season five is looking to be the biggest season ratings wise for the show. The hit E! show racked in about 4.7 million viewers which made it the series’ most watched season opener to date.
Last night the premiere was the second most watched telecast in the history of the E! only behind the finale of last season.
The show follows the sisters about their daily lives, where Khloe and Kourtney work at their own clothing store, Dash, and Kim works on various photoshoots, dances, appearances and projects.
While Kourtney plays the active role of managing Dash on a daily basis with Khloe, Kim is given a task of Public and Media Relations.
Originating in 2006 in the Kardashians’ hometown in Calabasas, CA, Dash opened its second branch in Miami in 2009.
The boutique appeared as the center of their activities on their spinoff show: “Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami”.
The boutiques are doing surprisingly very well, even in today’s current economic crisis.
Known for its fine selection of multiple brands, Dash also carries Junk Food T-shirts and their own brand of scented candles and water bottles.
The boutique is also developing its menswear collection and the recent buzz around the entertainment world is that the boutique will open another branch in New York.
The sisters are now set to launch their own plus size brand, K-Dash, spreading more Kardashian merchandise into the world.
This line is specificly for curvy women – with the sisters voluptuous figures being the perfect advertising boards for it.
Kourtney Kardashian talks about launching her line in OK Magazine when asked to describe her style Kourtney dropped some knowledge by saying “I love mixing things, just stuff that I have in my closet. When you put things together, I think it always looks more stylish.”
I’m very interested in what they are referring to when they use the word “curvy” to describe their K-Dash range.
Might they mean women who are shaped like Kim? Or they could mean women who are shaped like normal people, not size zero celebrities.
Which would be nice, but it’s also kind of depressing to think that “curvy” now just means “regular person.”
The line will be called K-Dash and it will be launched in conjunction with QVC on New York’s Fashion’s Night Out, September 10.
I have seen a few episodes of their show and I must say I don’t mind it at all, I hope they will be able to come up with the good for plus sizes.
