Land’s End UK has a wide range of clothing catering for taller men and women.
Although rather confusing to find the line at first, as there is an obvious link to the tall women’s clothes but not the men’s, it was finally found by narrowing the search in the Men’s category to “Tall”.
For a pair of smart trousers, these Traditional Fit Plain Front Comfort Waist No Iron Chino Pants are perfect. They come in a wide variety of colours, and their smoothness and stain resistance is guaranteed for at least 50 washes.
They are 100% cotton, and have an inseam of up to 38, which is perfect for the taller men.
Their smart, traditional look means they can be worn on any occassion where smart-casual is needed.
Another excellent item is the Long Sleeve Pattern No Iron Varsity Oxford Shirt, which is a classic shirt that is perfect for the office, or a nice evening.
Its shorter points mean it can be worn with skinny ties too. The pattern is yarn-dyed, and so gives the sharpest look.
The shirt is single needle stitched, for perfect smooth seams.
Another of my favourites of the pieces for taller men, is the Cashmere Crew Sweater. Its made with two-ply yarn, giving the sweater extra body.
Although expensive, it is the perfect sweater for when it gets cold. Not only does it look smart, but is also extremely comfortable and easy to wear, with jeans or trousers.
The extremely soft material will need to be cared for properly, with separate washing and caring instructions for cashmere available on the Land’s End site.
Land’s End UK does have a wide variety of clothing suitable for tall men, however, there are pieces which are missing from the line. Although it has the staple items like T-shirts, polo shirts, trousers etc, I think its Sweater section lets itself down.
With only a few sweater styles to choose from, it could do with widening its selection in this section.
The Land’s End pieces are very American in their style, but I think they still appeal to British men. The clean cuts, sharp distinguishing features, and traditional yet modern and smart designs are all factors that British men want in their clothing.
The high quality of material used for the clothes and the wide selection of colours for each item, mean that every tall man can find something he needs at Land’s End.
