Our French sister publication, Ma-Grande-Taille.com, has created a Manifesto which aims to gather everyone to make plus size fashion more visible in France. Celebrities, brands and more than 1,000 people have already signed the manifesto but what is it about?

The manifesto acknowledges that a change needs to be bought about to push plus size fashion to the forefront as in particular, the world of Fashion, Footwear and Apparel ignored.

40% of French women wear clothes so called “plus size”, size 44 and much more.
More than 400,000 French men wear shoe sizes 47 and 48.

SIGN THE MANIFESTO TO MAKE PLUS SIZE FASHION MORE VISIBLE

A new wind is rising. Join us to encourage and amplify. Tentatively, we find that the mode-Size is a good one fort fashion (design) and Fashion (People). The success of the Special Round ELLE or VOGUE curvy illustrate this tremor.

Ma-Grande-Taille.com, the Community-Size for Fashion, invites you to make all plus size fashion initiatives visible.  This must be constant throughout the year, and varied: newspapers, TV reports, fashion shows, websites, shopping center, etc..

It’s also about raising awareness of the diversity of the morphologies and body: create clothes for tall women size 44, size 52 or size 60, it is not the same thing.

Similarly, a tall and thin person, looking for clothes “length”, has different needs than a heavier man.

Many supporters have joined with Fashion My-Great Taille.com to sign this plus size fashion visibility manifesto.

The more signatures, the greater strength we will have when we ask brands, retailers, and the press to make plus size fashion more visible. This is the start of a positive movement, unifying and driving fashion forward.

Now it is your turn, sign this manifesto!

We thank the original signatories of this manifesto:
These include well known actors, models, brands, comedians, magazines etc. To see the full list follow the link to Ma-Grande-Taille.com And whilst there don’t forget to add your name to the manifesto to help change the fashion industry by making plus size fashion more visible. Show that women and men of non-standard sizes (round and large) exist and are interested in fashion. It is also encouraging the media to represent them more in their fashion pages. The more of us to sign this call, the more it will be taken seriously.
