NewLook.co.uk’s women sale section does not let you search above size 18 anymore

New Look [site: www.newlook.com] has their summer sale with up to a fantasic 50% off selected lines. The newly revamped New Look site looks great with trendy styling and clear images of their fashion on the homepage. They have changed the menu options at the top so that when each category is selected, rather than having a long line of sub categories that run off the screen, they now appear in an easy to read box.

Each category has a sale subcategory but to make it even easier for the user, there is a sale category which includes sub categories such as NewLook.co.uk’s women sale. Fantastic! But wait, the women’s sale does not include the Inspire plus size range (or the tall or maternity ranges) and users can only search sale items up to a size 18. Great for women up to that size, but what if you are say a size 20?

Well, maybe the Inspire range has its own sale category….. I looked and….  Yes, the NewLook.co.uk’s women sale does include the Inspire range. And at first glance, I thought maybe the sale range would appear first in each Inspire sub category such as say “tops” where there are 162 items, but no. The sale items are intermingled with the non sale range. The Inspire ranges does not have its own sale category and nor can you search specifically for Inspire NewLook.co.uk’s women sale fashion.

However, once on the Inspire page, you can search by size, colour, type, and price, making it much easier to find the bargain you are looking for. The Inspire range does include an impressive selection with savings of up to 50% off.  So does it matter that the NewLook.co.uk’s women sale section does not let you search above size 18 anymore? In the meantime I did contact New Look to praise them on their newly revamped site and to ask if the omission of the facility to search for a sale item over a size 18 was an error in the design, and if they intended to change it in the future. Their prompt reply apologised for any inconvenience this may have caused and continued, “When you click on a particular clothing range, you have the option of sorting the results by price which may help you find sale items easier. We are always grateful to receive customer feedback and appreciate you taking the time to bring this to our attention. I can confirm that the details of your comments have now been passed on to the relevant department for their consideration.”
