Arcadia Group has just launched its brand new website, called Style 369 (link: style369.com), to capture the market for younger plus size women. Arcadia owns Evans, the well-know high street plus size retailer. With Style 369, the fashion group wants to target a younger crowd that tended to stay away from the traditional Evans stores, despite stunts such as the Beth Ditto at Evans collection. Sizes go fromUK14 to UK36.
Sytle369.com sould be Arcadia Group’s answer to ASOS’s trendy ASOS Curve line and to the cheaper dresses from competitor Yours Clothing. Style 369 sells not only its own clothing, but also items from Evans and other UK brands. The site delivers its clothing in the UK and internationally. While we welcome this great addition to the plus size online retailing environment, we are a bit sad to see that the model used on the site’s front page does not look very curvy.
