New for autumn 2009 Mica Paris, well known soul singer and broadcasting star, has teamed up with Simply Be as their new celebrity fashion designer.  Her debut collection “All Woman” expresses her infatuation with fashion and passion for life.

In 2008 she published her first book ‘Beautiful Within’ which was inspired when she presented ‘What Not to Wear’ in a bid to inspire confidence and self esteem in women. Now with this new collection Mica hopes to be “able to help the women I hear talk about not being able to get a fashionable outfit in their size. Now I can tell them where to find it!” Mica’s attitude to life is ‘be passionate, be positive’ which is reflected in the collection.

Mica does not consider herself as a designer. She has put together a collection of clothes that she feels thinks will look good in sizes up to 32. Mica Paris has based her new collection on clothes that she herself would want to wear. Indeed, she told Simply Be that she would not be without the collection in her own wardrobe, saying “It’s so easy to wear and with my schedule being so hectic sometimes I need to get ready really quickly!” In order to put this versatile and stunning collection together, Simply Be met with Mica to see what she would want in her range and what type of clothes inspired her. Mica and the designers then got together to design and produce the range.

The new collection by Mica Paris consists of 15 inspiring items available in sizes 14 – 32. The collection will enhance your curves while the bold prints and bright colours exude confidence and sex appeal. The range is designed to include really a wearable collection combining wardrobe staples and statement pieces that can be mixed and matched.

The three dresses in the collection certainly have wow factor. The Mica Pom Pom Trim Dress is really stylish with pom pom trim on the neck. The dress is gathered at the sides to accentuate curves. This black dress would look really striking with a pair of heels. The Mica Cowl Black Dress again accentuates curves with its skirt and neck detail. This black dress is also very versatile as it can be worn as a classic scoop neck or turned around for a sexy drape front to completely change the look. Both Dorothy Perkins and New Look offer a range of clothing for tall women. Dorothy Perkins have a range of clothing for women who are 5’6” and over in sizes 8-22 so tall curvey women can get the most out of the clothes too. The dresses available from Dorothy Perkins are more stylish with a better mixture of plain colour for continuity and print used more carefully to disguise height. The Tall Black Animal Dress is a good example of this where horizontal glitter animal stripes have been used across the black dress which has ¾ length sleeves. The trouser ranges available from Dorothy Perkins and New Look are very similar. Both stores have a range of leggings, and wide fit and slim fit trousers. The top end price of both stores is £28.00. Dorothy Perkins do have a bigger range of smart trousers. New Look has a bigger range of jeans including straight leg and boot cut jeans. The Dorothy Perkin range has similar styles including the Tall Belted Wide Leg Jean which has a very simple line in a blue wash colour.

Both stores have a limited range of skirts with New Look concentrating on short denim skirts.

New Look have a stylish range of jackets which is well worth the look. They range from macs, bomber jackets, to utility jackets and blazers. The Tie Waist Mac catches the eye in Barbie pink. It is a single breasted button front Mac with a tie waist with belt loops. It also has buttoned cuffs, two front pockets and is specially selected and proportional to fit all those who are 5ft 7 and taller.
