Tall Models : List, Height and Names

Fashion  models are tall models by definition. Many of the top supermodels we see on the cat walk are nearing 6′ tall.

One of the UK’s tallest models is Naomi Campbell at 5’9.5. To be a top fashion and catwalk model you should be, according to  The British Association of Model Agents (AMA),  around 34-24-34 in (86-61-86 cm) and at least 5 ft 8 in (1.73 m) tall. But how tall are less known models? Here are five of the tallest from around the world!

1. The tallest model from Germany is Caroline at 6’9, wow!

How do these heights compare with the worlds top tall models, the supermodels?

1. Well, Gisele Bundchen, a tall model from Brazil, is 5’10. She has appeared on most of the major magazines covers in the past year. Models in ads for Ralph Lauren, Celine, Christian Dior, Michael Kors, Zara, Dolce & Gabbana, Bulgari, to name but a few. And at 5’10 she stands as one of the tallest successful supermodels.

2. The UK’s tall model Naomi Campbell is 5’9.5. In August 1988, when Naomi was just 18, she appeared as the first black woman to grace the cover of a major fashion magazine–French Vogue–and was catapulted to supermodeldom. Naomi has two books out and has a Barbie doll, made to her likeness, for sale.

3. American Cindy Crawford is the world’s best known tall models. She is the most commercial model of her time; Cindy has appeared on more than 400 magazine covers. Cindy has been spokesmodel for Revlon cosmetics since she was 23. She is famous for being the biggest “supermodel” ever.

4. Another top tall supermodel is Kate Moss at 5’7. She is one of the world’s biggest supermodels ever. She had a major Calvin Klein contract worth $4 million for 100 days of work. She was in the ads for Yves Saint Laurent’s perfume ‘Opium’. She is also the face of Chanel’s perfume “Coco Mademoiselle”.

5. Tall model Laetitia Casta is from France and a top lingerie model. She models for Givenchy, Victoria’s Secret, Chanel, Ralph Lauren, Pantene, L’Oreal, Yves Saint Laurent and Guess. Laetitia has her own calendar and is a Sports Illustrated model. She has appeared on all of the major magazine covers. She recently released her own photo book simply entitled Laetitia Casta.
