www.thetallstreetjournal.com is the first article of the week I will look at that incorporates both tall women and men.
The site encourages tall women and men to become members, at which point a whole tall community becomes available under your fingertips.
It’s motto: “Building a city void of doorways for the tall men and tall women of the world” is a rather humourously elegant way of advertising their message.
This ‘city’ has a discussion forum for everything; cars, fashion, furniture, dating, health etc. – you name it, it will be on there!
What’s great about the site is that it acts as one huge resource for tall people around the world to use, be it for advice, to spread knowledge etc. If you are looking for any sort of information, specific to tall people or just general information, this is a great place to start.
One feature of the site is that users have the ability to post pictures of themselves or of their photography. Other users can then rate the photograph and give you feedback and comments.
Another feature of the site is an events tab. This is great as it details events specifically for tall people. One event that sounds particularly luxurious is a valentines day cruise for tall people on the 14th February 2010 to the 21st of February.
It leaves from Port Canaveral in Florida and travels around the Caribbean. The description is as follows:
“Make new tall friends from throughout the United States and around the globe as you sail from Port Canaveral, Florida, to the sunny Caribbean on Valentine’s Day, 2010. You’ll cruise on Royal Caribbean’s most innovative ship, Freedom of the Seas, and experience some of the world’s most beautiful beaches, exciting ports of call, fun, fellowship, parties and delicious meals“.
The ship apparently has an onboard surf park at sea, and there are whirlpools and wifi capabilities too. If you want to make new tall friends and meet new people, then you should think about giving this cruise a go!
The site also has a specific forum for discussing health issues, especially those that commonly affect tall people. Members also have the ability to add groups they want to share and think are relevant in the “Groups” section of the site. Some to date have included; Tall Women, Tall Clubs International and Tall Cars.
As you can see there is a huge variety of things to do and see on the site, and so it is definitely worth checking out www.thetallstreetjournal.com for more information.
