This week Plus Size Tall articles will focus on tall people, and tall women in general.
First on the list of tall women‘s websites to explore is www.tallwomen.org.
The site calls itself the ultimate online resource for tall women, and it advertises discounts and offers from brands. It also has a questionnaire that viewers can fill out, and advice pieces for tall women.
It displays quotes, health issues, shoes, clothes, dating, videos, pictures and many many more – it’s basically the encyclopaedia for tall people!
www.tallwomen.org/comebacks is the perfect section to visit if you want to find things to say/not to say to a tall woman – and comebacks for those who actually get the bad phrases used on them!
The site provides a good amount of resources yet also adds some humour into the mix, always a plus for sites like these.
Here are a few good ones from 6’4″ Nancy (taken from the site):
“You could wrap those legs around me twice”
“Now there’s a tree I’d like to climb”
“I could eat my way to the top”.
The site has plenty of humorous jokes and sayings, and allows an outlet for tall people to rant, give advice, or just enjoy each other’s comments.
There is also a section labelled “Tall Woman of the Month”, where readers are chosen to become the tall woman of the month.
In order to participate you have to be at least 5 ft 10 (178cm).
The “Tall Woman of the Month” feature wants to give a platform to tall women who have got something to say. All you have to do is send a few pictures of yourself (up to five!) and let them know how you dealt with your height when you were younger.
Tell them about your favourite comebacks or your general attitude towards life. What kind of guys do you like? How do people treat you when you’re out and about? etc.
Always loving a competition, if I met the height requirements I would have participated in this myself!!
Some details you should include are:
- Your first name
- Your age / birthdate
- Your height
- Your general location (Country will do).
The site provides a great community feel for tall people and creates a foundation where people can chat, meet, ask for advice, and help each other with day to day queries. If you are looking for somewhere to browse through when you are bored at work – this is definitely the site to try – tallwomen.org!
