TallWomen.org was created to address the gap on the internet of websites dedicated to tall women. The site was established in 1998 and has since grown in strength and is now joined by several other sites dedicated to the needs of tall women. This site provides information on health issues affecting tall women, clothes and shoe stores that cater for tall women across the globe, famous tall ladies, tall trivia, and tall dating, not to mention links to other great tall resources.
New this month at TallWomen.org is the recent survey findings of Jheri’s survey: “Male height preferences in very tall heterosexual women.” The results show that very tall women prefer a taller partner; however, they will still consider partners that are shorter. The findings show that possibly tall women characterize a tall man as a man being taller than average rather than taller than them.
TallWomen.org also does it’s best this month to demonstrate that tall women are not alone, indeed, there have been and are many famous women over 5’10.
For instance….did you know that Brigitte Nielsen is 6’1″? Or that Geena Davis, Brooke Shields, Uma Thurman, Taylor Swift and Jordin Sparks are 6’0″ each? Models are typically tall and basketball players and volleyball players are at an advantage if they have extra inches in their height; players such as Olympic Gold Medal Winner Candace Parker (6’4″) and Volleyball Goddess and Olympic Silver Medal Winner Kimberly Glass (6’2 1/2″).
TallWomen.org features Erika who is 6’7 tall and lives in the USA. She gives advice to for tall girls. She says “stand up tall, be proud of your height, beautiful = tall. People may not see it now, but they will admire you before long. It’s what’s in your heart that matters and if anyone says anything different, then they are NOT your friend and NOT worthy of your friendship. Your friends, (true friends) will see you – the real you, not your physical appearance.”
At TallWomen.org you can also meet Tall Woman of the Month, Gretchen 6’1 from the USA. She thinks she “can be intimidating to men because of my size and the fact that I am a Type A personality so they have to be superconfident and able to handle me.”
