Who were the plus size bloggers at the Young, Fat and Fabulous conference?

A bloggers conference, theYoung, Fat and Fabulous conference, was held in New York giving a chance for all the plus size bloggers to get together this month. They also held a day of meet and greet where it was possible for all interested fatshionistas to socialize, shop, or be styled.

The event was sponsored by many big names such as Evans, City Chic, Simply Be, and Faith21 to name but a few.

The Young, Fat and Fabulous conference bloggers involved included:

Gabi from Young Fat and Fabulous. She is a 23-year-old fashion lover from Detroit and began her blog in 2008 when she realized there was nothing for young and trendy fat girls. Since she launched her site she has received a lot of attention from the press and media.

Hayley Hughes has created the blog Fashion Hayley. She is a 25 year old stylist, street photographer and blogger. Her blog is about all things fashion, including what has inspired her. She also uses it as a visual diary of all the work she does.

J created the blog Fatshionable to showcase fashionable plus size outfits that show one can be plus size and chic. She started the blog in 2009 and it has been featured in various publications. J is a law student and young business woman.

The blog More to Love was created by two journalists from Finland who started it as a means of communication when one of them went abroad to study. The blog quickly became popular, with its creators Mimmi and Peppi becoming curvy icons in Finland.

Saxs in the City is a blog which has been created by Sakina who is a 27-year-old freelance advertising manager from Paris. She created her blog to show fat girls (and the fashion industry) that plus size women can be fashionable too, something I think she has done well with lots of pictures showing herself and other plus size women wearing great fashion.  She is the French vlogger for Vogue.it and has been features in other well known publications in France, US, and the UK.

Musings of a Fatshionista has been created by Christina who is a 24-year-old freelance graphic designer. As many other plus size bloggers, she created her blg to show that style is for any size and that plus size women can be as fabulous as any other woman. Her blog has allowed her to communicate with people all around the world and she has been featured in many well known publications.

Amelia Pontes created the blog Sound Bites. This blog features the ramblings of a twenty-something’s life. Her fashion choices are explored through an introspective lens; there’s always a self-revealing story behind the outfit.

A woman after my own heart, Gabby created a blog to show of her second hand finds.  She is a 27-year-old teacher from and has the ability to make any dress look grandma chic and can thrift you under the table. Her blog is called Corazones Rojos (Red Hearts).

The final blogger at the conference was Nicolette. She is 24 years old and she works as a design strategist at an international design firm and is a contributing writer and fashion blogger for Vogue Italia. Her blog Nicolette Mason is a lifestyle blog.

The Young, Fat and Fabulous conference gave the bloggers a chance to inspire each other with their fashion ideas and have fun with the vintage makeover and photo shoot.
